This Privacy Policy comprises how we store, use, and protect your personal information across our multiple platforms. Data privacy laws, rules, and regulations are always evolving. Therefore, we reserve the right to update this Policy from time to time, which you will know by the last updated date posted above. Likewise, if there are any material changes, we will notify you via email or by posting a notice in our software. Nevertheless, if you use any of our sites and/or services, it will constitute an acceptance of any revisions made.


How we collect and use personal and non-personal information

Maatdesk collects information required to grant you access to our websites and services. Information about others linked to the use of our services is also collected. For instance, we may collect contact information you willingly provide such as names, addresses, geographical data, and phone numbers, whether through our Websites or Services. We also collect your interactions with us via telephone, email, and in-person as deemed necessary. This allows us to better understand how you access and use our Services and helps us improve our communication with you.

Besides the information you provide, non-personal and technical information about you and your devices is collected while you interact with our Websites or Services, whether that includes your IP address, browser type, internet provider, and viewed pages. This allows us to personalize your experience on our Websites as well as improve our Services.

Third-Party Account Credentials

When you connect third-party services such as Gmail or Outlook through secure OAuth authorization, Maatdesk accesses limited data strictly necessary to perform user-requested actions (for example, viewing or linking emails, or syncing calendar events). We never store passwords or raw credentials.

Use of Google User Data

Maatdesk integrates with Google APIs to enhance productivity for our users. Specifically, we use Gmail and Google Calendar integrations under strict user consent and following Google’s API Services User Data Policy.

Gmail Data

When a user connects their Gmail account, Maatdesk uses the gmail.modify scope only to allow users to apply existing Gmail labels to emails they choose to link to a Matter within our platform.

We do not read, store, share, or send any emails, nor do we create or delete labels. All actions are performed explicitly by the user through the Maatdesk Gmail Add-on.

Google Calendar Data

When users connect their Google Calendar, Maatdesk uses the calendar.readonly and calendar.events scopes to enable them to view, create, update, and delete calendar events on their own behalf within the Schedule module.

All operations occur only when initiated by the user. We do not access calendar data in the background or share it with third parties.

Users may revoke Maatdesk’s access to their Google data at any time from their Google Account permissions page.


Third-Party Service Providers

Maatdesk reserves the right to provide information you share with Maatdesk to third parties who perform internal business functions on our behalf. These functions may include, though they are not limited to, mailing, data analytics, emailing, payment processing, and data hosting. These third-party service providers agree to use information collected in compliance with this privacy policy and only for the sake and purpose of providing Maatdesk with the services they were contracted for.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on the computer to keep track of any activity within the site. We use cookies to enhance user experience. The use of cookies is the main industry standard on most websites. Cookies help us track the total number of site visitors and page views. This information assists in improving and personalizing your user experience.

Customer’s business data

Information linked to our customer’s business is confidential and may exclusively belong to our customers. Therefore, this information is not shared or distributed except when required to provide the services in accordance with our Terms of Service and to better understand our customers’ access and use of our Services.

Likewise, we may contact you, your clients, and third parties linked to you to inquire how you or such individuals use our Services and how we might improve them. Policy Towards Children

Maatdesk does not collect information from anyone under 18 unless permitted by law. If Maatdesk discovers that information from a user under 18 has been collected, Maatdesk will ensure that it is deleted. Any parent or guardian who suspects that their child has registered should contact us at info@maatdesk.com or (786) 461-1021 to terminate the account.

Maatdesk's User Rights
